I think Chris is underestimating the popularity of Bugs Bunny, as I’m sure a lot of people consider Bugs to be their favorite Looney Tune. I’m not sure if I’d call him mine because Foghorn Leghorn exists, but he’d definitely high up there.
While I always thought Taz was a good antagonist in the old Looney Tunes cartoons, I always thought he was a bit of a one-note character. So it’s amazing that they were able to make such a great show from this one-note character. Of course, it probably helps that he had a great supporting cast like Bull and Axel, Bushwhacker Bob, and his family (all of which have some good episode, like one episode where his mom has to fill in for him at his job at the hotel).
I remember this show being really popular and being a staple of the Fox Kids lineup, so I’m really confused as to why they never really reran this show. I know they briefly reran this show on TBS shortly after it left Fox Kids but no other network ever reran it, not even Cartoon Network. Because of that I feel like this show has kinda fallen into obscurity, which is a huge shame.
