Commonly Answered Questions

Why is the show updated so infrequently?
This show is updated as lore and content for the game of Overwatch is updated, so there are times when nothing new is revealed for quite a while, meaning Chris doesn’t have enough material for a new episode.

How does Chris find all the information for each episode?
It’s a combination of many sources: In-game dialogue or references, character biographies, official Blizzard short stories, Overwatch comic books, and the occasional image tease/ARG from Blizzard as well.

Some characters have had new lore revealed since Chris covered them on an episode in the past. Will he ever revisit them in a newer episode?
Yes. There are plans to eventually revisit some character’s stories again in full, but with the added information we didn’t have before. However those plans are going to be on hold pending the release of Overwatch 2.

Where can I find the video about Chris’ Overwatch movie fan-casting?
That video was uploaded onto Chris’ former channel Spartachr1s Gaming. You can find the link to it here.

How can I ask Chris a question about Overwatch?
You can send the question to any official NerdSloth social media account or email podcasts@nerdsloth.com with Know the Lore in the subject line.

If I have an Overwatch theory, would Chris talk about it for an episode?
If it’s a good theory that can hold some weight under scrutiny, it is possible. You can certainly send it and Chris can address it from there.

Why is Chris not working for Blizzard?
They haven’t asked him yet.

What does Chris think about the Blizzard lawsuit?
Chris fully supports all of the victims who have come forward and hopes to see radical change in the company as a result. He will continue playing the games he enjoys so that they can continue their dream of working in the game industy and rebuilding Blizzard without the toxic environment that was originally forced upon them.

Will there be other Know the Lore series in the future about other topics instead of just Overwatch?
That was the original intention and remains a possibility, but there are many other factors and goals to get through before that point.
