Cartoon Boom is a podcast made for fans that love cartoons and anime. Both Joseph and Chris were born in the 80s where action cartoons ruled the television and Saturday morning in the 90s was reserved for binge watching animation blocks of your favorite cartoons. As adults, they revisit their favorite cartoons of old while the listeners introduce them to brand new cartoons and anime.

Our hosts are here to give their own opinions, and they certainly won’t like everything, just like you won’t like everything. That doesn’t mean they don’t like appreciate you as a person, they just weren’t a fan of this particular show.
Where do the hosts watch the cartoons/anime?
Our hosts are setup with a variety of subscriptions to many streaming sites. Otherwise they can typically rent or purchase the episodes online. Only on one occasion were they unsuccessful and had to purchase a physical DVD to have shipped to them.
Why does the language get censored on this show but not other NerdSloth shows?
There are still plenty of adult themes and ideas despite the lack of cursing, but the intention is for Cartoon Boom to be available to all ages so that families can listen to it together if they desire. That means limiting some of the language used for an E rating on podcast platforms. In this way, families can talk with their children about these themes or become more informed on the type of content their kids are consuming.
