  1. Yeah, I was confused by that ‘Savage’ thing from the last episode as I had never heard of a cartoon just called Savage. I thought you might’ve meant the Savage Dragon cartoon, but I decided to wait and see what it was.

This has been another one of those shows that I’d been meaning to watch but I kept putting it off. This episode finally pushed me to watch all six episodes, and I must thank you guys for that.

I’ve seen episodes of cartoons without dialogue, as well as the Fantasia movies, of course. Still, this just felt new and refreshing to me. Maybe it’s just the way the animation perfectly carried the story and conveyed the emotion or maybe it’s just that it’s been a long time since I’ve seen something like this. Either way, I was captivated by the first episode.

The first episode was probably my favorite as I felt it had the best story and some of the most emotional moments (with the 3rd episode being a close second). I’m with Chris, it was really rough seeing the two baby T-Rexs being eaten by the horned T-Rex.

While I loved the beginning of the fifth episode, and I especially loved that there was no music in the oasis, the ending fell apart for me. I just feel that Spear hulking out like that was a little too silly and out of place with what we’ve seen in the series so far, aside from maybe the giant spider and bats. I just thought it would been more meaningful and awesome to see Spear beat that hulked out ape without having to make himself even bigger and stronger than him. Plus I thought that violence in that scene was too over the top. The violence in the previous episodes was brutal but still realistic, while this felt like something from one of the newer Mortal Kombat games. It was cool but it felt out of place in regards to what we’ve seen in previous episodes. That being said, the very end did get to me.

Thanks once again for pushing me to finally watch this show.

    P.S. Happy birthday Joseph (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rb2q1S-O4WY)
