  1. I would catch a few episodes of this as a kid but I’d always get bored after a few minutes and change the channel. This was actually the first James Bond thing I ever saw (aside from parodies) so with such a bad first impression is it any wonder that I never saw a James Bond movie until Casino Royale……3 or 4 years after it was released.

The only thing I remembered of what little I saw as a kid was the theme song, which I remembered that it was good, until I watched it again and I was like “….Oh no”. I also can’t agree with Joseph with it being a catchy song because I barely remember any of it now.

What they did with Dr. No in this series reminds me of what they did with The Mandarian in the Iron Man animated series from 1994.

OddJob’s design really is baffling. I guess the pay at S.C.U.M is lousy so he has to moonlight as a DJ. Give him credit though, I mean it’s hard to rock and rhyme, it’s tricky.

I also never knew that’s where the name Nimrod came from, and that’s very interesting to learn. That said, I still think it’s a silly name, especially since there were probably other well known hunters they could’ve named him after, and the guys who created Nimrod (Chris Claremont and John Romita Jr) probably realized the name would sound weird and silly to most people. For better or worse, some words meaning changes over time and to most people Nimrod is always going to be slang for idiot. Still, it’s cool to know that Bugs Bunny has to power and influence to change the meaning of a word.
