  1. It’s weird, I like this show but I think the developer Jeff Kline has made better shows like The Men In Black series, Jackie Chan Adventures, and The Big Guy and Rusty The Boy Robot (which I’ll have to recommend to you guys once recommendations open up again). I also would probably give it the same rating you two gave it, either a 3 and a half, or 4 stars. And yet, I still think I liked this show more than you two did, or at least aspects of it you guys didn’t like or care for.

In all honesty, I actually really like the human cast in this show, even Randy, who is a better character than you guys are giving him credit for. I actually enjoyed them more than the Godzilla portions of the show. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good Godzilla fight, but after a while it gets boring for me, so these human characters offered a nice balance.

Mendel is my favorite character in the show and that has nothing to do with pity. He actually proves himself to be pretty resourceful and even has quite a few badass moments throughout the show, including an episode where the cast (minus Mendel) are transported to a bad future where Mendel is leading a resistance movement against a breed of monsters that has taken over the world.

Like I said, I also think Randy is a better character than you guys perceive him to be. Even though he makes fun of Mendel a lot, he does genuinely care about him, and for a good example of that I’d recommend an episode called Vision. Admittedly that episode’s B plot is Randy reading one of Mendel’s emails and it leads him to believe he’s dying of a disease, which is a very cliched plot and you’ve probably already guessed that it’s just a misunderstanding. That said, Randy is genuinely concerned for him and stars acting nice toward him, and the cool thing is that it has Randy still act nice toward him even after learning the truth.

I also think I liked the theme song more than you guys did. Sure, I’ll admit the theme is nothing special at all, but I can’t call it the worst. To me, the worst cartoon themes will always be the ones that are just a title card and a jingle, as it feels like no effort was put into them. I also like this theme more than the other Godzilla cartoon, sure this show doesn’t have the highs of the “GODZILLA” shouting, but it also doesn’t have the lows of that Godzooky bit.
