REVIEW OVERVIEW

  1. With everything that’s been going on with HBO Max, this feels like the perfect time to review this show.

I hope this show can continue on another streaming service or network, but I’m also afraid that that might be impossible. There have times where Cartoon Network have cancelled shows so they could consider them a failure and use the as a tax write off, which I believe means the shows can’t be revived. They did it to Megas XLR, Sym-Bionic Titan, and Beware The Batman, so I could see them doing it to this show and every other one removed from HBO Max.

I’m surprised and thankful that Harley Quinn has picked up for a fourth season, but I’m still concerned about other shows that Warner/Discovery own like Primal, Smiling Friends, and Ten Year Old Tom.

As for the show itself, there’s not much for me to say that you and your editor (a happy birthday to him) didn’t already say.

I think relatable is the perfect word for this series, and I’m always amazed how J.G. Quintel can create such relatable stories while also mixing in all these crazy and surreal elements.

As someone who not only remembers the Crossfire commercial, but also actually owned the game, I’m disappointed I didn’t realize that reference to it.
