Absolutely love your podcast! If I may suggest some Revists of shows that you’ve reviewed that have now ended! Also I highly highly highly recommend Craig of the creek and big city greens!! Awesome, love you guys!
I was actually thinking about revisting some shows we’d done, so that’s a good idea! Also, I did start Craig of the Creek, and am lovong it so far, so hopefully we’ll be able to do it soon!
Sorry guys, but this show didn’t do it for me. I just don’t think the mellowness and weirdness mixed all that well together, something that I think Steven Universe did a lot better. I’m happy you guys at least enjoyed this show but it’s just not for me.
I think I can answer some of your questions though.
Whenever a network marathons a bunch of new episodes all at once, it usually means that network wants to get rid of that show but still has a contractual obligation to air all unaired episodes. So they’ll just air them all at once to blow through them all and make room for new shows. I’m not saying that’s what definitely happened with this show but I do think it’s a strong possibility, especially considering the show migrated to HBO Max right after. At least this show, got a better break on HBO Max than Infinity Train did.
WarnerMedia owns HBO Max, as well as Cartoon Network, so that’s why there’s so many Cartoon Network shows on the streaming service. Also, some of the shows you mentioned (Rick and Morty and Primal) still air on the network, which shows the new episodes first before they debut on HBO Max.
Alfred Molina seems to do a lot of cartoon voices, like Gravity Falls and Penn Zero Part-Time Hero, and has occasionally voiced Lex Luthor on Robot Chicken.
