I remember I used to watch this show whenever I could and really enjoy it and the concept of superhero dogs. So it’s quite disappointing to hear that it doesn’t hold up all that well. I might still give it a watch sometime just to see for myself and form my own opinion.
When you guys talked about how Shepard doesn’t care for his dog because he told Hunter to leave him and save himself, I thought that you could probably handwave an explanation by claiming he was just testing Hunter to see if he was truly heroic. However, that explanation became a lot harder to buy once you mentioned that Shepard also had a family that he didn’t return to.
Also, from that clip you played of Confusus, I can say that was definitely Kevin Michael Richardson’s voice.
