I love this show. Back when in the early 2010s, this show as well as Adventure Time were a much needed boost to Cartoon Network and made them the best place for modern cartoon shows at that time (a title I admittedly think now belongs to Disney). As it went on, I eventually grew bored of Adventure Time, but that never happened with Regular Show. It just kept getting better and better until its very satisfying and touching finale.
This show could have probably just coasted on its surreal humor and bizarre plots and it probably would’ve still been good. However, they went the extra mile by fleshing out the characters and having them grow.
I always loved the comradely between the park employees and some of the best episodes are the ones where they work together, like the Christmas episode.
I’m surprised that it’s just the artstyle of Rocko’s Modern Life that inspired J.G. Quintel, because now that I think about it, Regular Show feels like a spiritual successor to Rocko.
