Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa (2002) – CB 276

This Saturday morning, for Christmas in July, Joseph and Chris watched Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa, from 2002. This was chosen by our lovely editor, Jack…out of spite, I assume? Thankssss, Jack…

A boy named Ricky wants to give his crush Nicole a gift for Christmas. When he does she angrily rejects it as in her eyes it’s “cheap”. She later regrets her mistake and decides to find it.

  1. I agree with everything you guys said in this episode, except for one thing, I think this is slightly better than The Christmas Tree. Maybe I’m wrong, but it just feels like there’s a tad (and by tad I mean like the tiniest amount possible) more effort put into this than The Christmas Tree. Don’t get me wrong, this special deserves it’s half a star, but I’d rather listen to Grandma’s gibberish than those weird kids in The Christmas Tree. Then again, that woman getting struck by lightning at the end of The Christmas Tree was probably more entertaining than anything in Rapsittie Street Kids.

I’m sad to admit that I actually know of worse Christmas specials than both this and The Christmas Tree. If you guys are going to make this Christmas in July a regular thing then at some point you have to do The Christmas Light and its sequel, The Christmas Brigade.

I like Rochelle and thought she fit in well. I wouldn’t mind seeing her on more episodes of this show.

    • Oh just you wait, you’re in for ever worse animation, even worse stories, and even worse songs. I apologize in advance for the pain these two specials will cause you.
