I remember watching this as a kid. My mother is really into the Peanuts gang big time. We always watched them when I was a kid. I think my mom still catches it if and when they are on. This one and the Easter beagle are my favorite specials, which I wanna recommend for an episode. That chair fight and song from this one though stick out in my mind. I sing along poorly every time.
Yeah, my mom used to be big into Peanuts, as well. And yeah dude, that Little Birdie song is pretty catchy!
While this may not be as well known as the Christmas special or The Great Pumpkin, I still consider it to be up there with them as one of the all-time-great Peanuts specials.
Charlie Brown is one of the greatest cartoon characters of all time and probably one of the most relatable. Although, if Charlie Brown is this depressed and jaded as a child I’m almost scared to see what he’d be like as a adult.
I can’t say there are any Peanut characters I hate, at least none of the main or reoccurring ones. Even the jerks, like Lucy and Patty, I find entertaining in their own way.
There is a Charlie Brown Easter special, it’s called It’s The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown. It’s a fun special that has some nice callbacks to The Great Pumpkin. If it’s not on your list already I’d like the recommend it.
The Battletoads pilot is…..interesting, so it will be fun hearing your episode on that. I’m very happy to hear that you guys loved the recent Battletoads game. That game is very underappreciated and gets way too much hate.
