I didn’t even know these movies existed until I watched the review you did of the first one and the watchthrough you did of the second one. Honestly, I listened to/watched those about a week ago and I’ve already forgotten most of them, except for you guys poking fun at Spot’s astral form in the second one.
Yeah it feels like the big problem with these movies are that they want to get kid into H.P. Lovecraft and create new fans, while also trying too hard to appeal to people who are already fans, which is probably why that scene in Howard’s mind exists. As for me, I don’t really know much about H.P. Lovecraft’s work other than what I picked up from cultural osmosis and I can safely say these movies did nothing to spark any further interest in them. So basically my thoughts echo that of Joseph’s inner child.
I do find it funny how all three movies got the same got the same 2 and a half stars rating.
Also, I would love to see you guys on How Did This Get Made as that’s another one of my favorite podcasts. I think the first two movies might be a little too boring for that show, but this third one would be good just for that scene inside Howard’s mind.
I do think that everyone should petition How Did This Get Made and tell them to have us on! lol As long as we don’t say anything bad about Winx Club we should be golden.
Oh yeah, I think I remember hearing that Paul Scheer and Jason Mantzoukas are huge fans of Winx Club. Sorry guys, but I think you might’ve shot yourselves in the foot on this on.
